This Privacy Policy explains how beaubison (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses personal information when you visit tealtoast.com or use the Survivor Pool at pool.tealtoast.com. We take your privacy seriously. By using these sites, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

  • Survivor Pool: if you are invited to play in the pool, we store what is needed to run it, such as your name, the email address you use to sign in, and the picks you make and their results.
  • Password-protected pages: when you enter a password on a protected page, it is used only to unlock that page.
  • Correspondence: we keep the emails you send to [email protected], including anything you choose to tell us in them.

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • Log information: our web server and Cloudflare may log your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and the date and time of access.
  • Cookies and analytics: see section 3 below.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect to:

  • run the Survivor Pool, including signing you in, recording picks, and keeping scores;
  • respond to your messages and provide support;
  • understand how the sites are used and improve them;
  • protect the sites from spam, abuse, and unauthorized access; and
  • comply with our legal obligations.

3. Cookies, Analytics, and Third-Party Services

When you first visit tealtoast.com, a banner asks whether you accept analytics. Your choice is saved in a cookie named cookieConsent for up to 365 days. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings button at the bottom right of any page. If you decline, we tell Google and Microsoft not to use analytics cookies for your visit. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

These sites use the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) helps us count visits and see which pages are most useful. It uses cookies and collects information such as your device, approximate location, and the pages you view. It stays off unless you accept. See the Google Privacy Policy. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Microsoft Clarity provides heatmaps and session recordings that show how visitors click, scroll, and move through our pages. It stays off unless you accept. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
  • Cloudflare delivers and protects these sites. Cloudflare Web Analytics gives us basic, cookie-free traffic counts; Cloudflare Turnstile protects the password form from automated abuse; and Cloudflare Access controls sign-in to the Survivor Pool and sets a strictly necessary cookie that keeps you signed in. These providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States.

4. Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it under the following circumstances:

  • with your consent;
  • with service providers who help us operate the sites, such as hosting, email delivery, analytics, and spam protection, and who may only use it for those purposes;
  • when required by law, such as to respond to a court order or government request; and
  • to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, or that of our users or the public.

5. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Survivor Pool records are kept while the pool is running and its history remains on the site, and we will delete yours on request. Analytics data is kept according to each provider’s own settings.

6. Your Choices

  • You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing [email protected].
  • You can change your analytics choice at any time using the Cookie settings button, and control cookies through your browser settings.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. Contact us and we will do our best to honour them.

7. Children

These sites are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the “Last updated” date above.
